Faithful to the threefold Dominican tradition of charity, study and preaching, Holy Rosary encourages the formation of lay discussion groups and welcomes a variety of informative speakers and lecturers to the parish. In additional to guest speakers, we are fortunate to have in residence Dominican Fr. Brian Mullady. Nationally recognized as a writer, educator and scholar, when schedule permits Fr. Mullady brings his erudition and wit home to Holy Rosary. Recent topics have included the two-part Paradoxes of St. Paul and a three-part series on The Theology of the Body. Watch the bulletin for details of all upcoming lectures, which are held in Siena Hall.
The Great Books Discussion Group meets at 7:30 pm on the first and third Thursdays of the month in the old Siena Hall library. Themes vary, the current year focusing on European Upheaval: The Destruction of the Ancient Regime and the Establishment and Evolution of Liberal Democracy in the Modern Western World. For more information, or a list of novels, Historical resources, biographies and Encyclicals that will be the springboard for this year’s discussion, e-mail Chris Clements at coclementsjr@gmail.com
